He quietly endures the neglect as the husband of the Sponsorship Chairperson of this event (and thinks he submitted this without me seeing it! – Angie)

Anthony Kenney– AIA

“Tony” did his Architectural internship in the co-op program at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, here in Atlanta in the summer of 1996. With the Olympics in town, there was no better place to live than in the ATL during that time. After college graduation in 1997, he permanently changed his residence from Massachusetts to Georgia and became roommates with his father. Thru some lucky circumstances, he met his future wife Jennifer (last name Keeney, but we can talk about that another time laughing), a Michigangster who had also moved to Atlanta, and they had their first date at the AIA 100 celebration in the winter of 2006. Now many years later, and after his registration as a licensed Architect, service to this community has become a focus in his life when away from work. As a weekly volunteer with his church and a dedicated volunteer with GFTK, he continues to build on the passion in his life….healthy children. Whether it is mind, spirit, or body, he realizes there is nothing so important as the lives of these young people that are our future generations. At work, he enjoys mentoring to a younger generation that is sometimes focused on the use of the computer rather than on beautifying and enhancing the lives of their clients. He is a lover of animals and will always be a dog owner…although he realizes that it is ok to be a cat owner sometimes.

tree a long time ago.”
