Golf for the Kids is very fortunate to have a dedicated Volunteer Advisory Board with the responsibility of overseeing the successful operation of the Golf for the Kids Tournament.

Paula Sands – Treasurer/Registration Coordinator
Paula is a licensed CPA and CVA with over 18 years of experience in the accounting profession, 14 in public accounting.  She is involved in several business and community organizations, including serving a second 3-year term on the Leadership Council of the Georgia Society of CPA’s, as well as serving as President of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) Georgia State Chapter.  Paula is currently the Controller for Layer 3 Communications, LLC.  Layer 3 is a professional services organization and network systems integrator specializing in the design, implementation and support of local and wide area networks for data, voice and video applications.  For more information, see or contact Paula at

Erik Allen – Advisory Board Member
Erick Allen is an Experienced Talent Management and Organizational Development Leader and Consultant with over 16 years of experience in executive leadership development, post-merger workforce integrations for mergers and acquisitions, talent technology, and compliance initiatives across multiple industries. Designed and implemented many innovative talent management and development solutions that ensured organizations maintain sound fiscal health; remaining responsive to ongoing business demands, and changes in industry trends and practices.

Erick is currently a Sr. Solutions Architect with Cornerstone on Demand, where he leads the presale services activities for their Healthcare Division. He is a Graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN (B.A.- Human and Organizational Development) and Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA (MBA – International Leadership).

Erick lives in the Vinings area with his wife, Dr. Tameka Allen and Daughter Elise. They attend Word of Faith Worship Cathedral in Austell, GA.

Michael Jenkins – Advisory Board Member
Dr. Michael Jenkins is the Senior Associate Director of Executive Programs at the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia. Prior to UGA, Michael has been a faculty member at two Universities and has spent over 20 years in HR and Talent Management in multiple Fortune 500 companies. He is a skilled teacher, coach, and facilitator. Michael has published in academic journals and has written on such topics as execution and leadership. On weekends you will likely find him at the ball field, golf course or hiking through the woods. Michael received his undergraduate degree from Southwest Baptist University and his Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Roger House – Advisory Board Member
Roger House is the President and CEO of Axiom Corporation. He is a retired officer from the U.S. Navy. His 20 years of service included duty on three different ships, numerous shore commands and overseas assignments. He held many leadership, management and administrative positions, and is a veteran of the 1st Gulf War. During his time in the Navy, Roger was part of the surface warfare department and the medical department. He spent five years at the Navy recruiting command headquarters, where he was responsible for recruiting officers into the Medical Department of the Navy.

After retiring from the Navy in June 2003, Roger transitioned to a government job, as the Deputy Director of the Vital Records Branch, Division of Public Health, Department of Human Resources for the State of Georgia. From there, he went to work for Axiom Corporation in August 2004 as the Director of Business Development and then he became the Vice President of Axiom Corporation. After 2 ½ years of being an employee at Axiom Corporation, Roger purchased the company from the previous owners on February 1, 2007.

Roger holds a Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters of Pubic Administration (MPA) from Troy State University. He is a Credentialed Fellow (CFAAMA) in the American Academy of Medical Administrators (AAMA). He is originally from Montgomery, Alabama.

Axiom Corporation is a management and technology consulting company. Our company provides information technology support, engineering services, professional and administrative services, and program management solutions to the federal government and the department of defense.

Jeremy Joiner – Advisory Board Member
For the past 11 years, Jeremy Joiner has worked in the technology staffing industry. Early in his career, he discovered a passion for matching people and organizations, where individuals find long-term careers and add value quickly. He took this passion to the non-profit sector and continues to dedicate his time to provide career and placement coaching to those who may not otherwise have access to it. A true entrepreneur at heart, Jeremy is the co-founder and Managing Partner for Assurity Staffing Group. Jeremy and his family are passionate about helping in their community and have their own organization that focuses on families in need. His weekends are usually filled by spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their 2 daughters, preferably outdoors somewhere.

Rachel Johnston – Volunteer Coordinator
Inspired by her father’s career in contracting and noting her own creativity and technical skills, Rachel launched her own interior design firm after graduating from The Art Institute of Atlanta.

Rachel took notice that her homeowners needed more than great design work. They needed someone to professionally manage all quotes relating to the property. They needed someone to recommend proactive and regular home maintenance. They needed someone to schedule and coordinate with all parties needing access to the property. There, Joli Residential was born.

Rachel is passionate about helping families lead the best lives possible. She is thrilled to serve on the board for Golf for Kids and work towards raising funds for the AFLAC Cancer Center.

Beth Young – Advisory Board Member
Beth Young is a tax and corporate attorney with the Atlanta law firm of Taylor English Duma, LLP where her practice focuses on helping individuals and businesses with tax planning and resolving issues with the Internal Revenue Service. She also enjoys helping businesses with general corporate legal matters including formation, contract drafting, mergers, and acquisitions. In her spare time Beth thrives on spending time in the great outdoors, trying new restaurants, and taking her dog Levi for walks. For more information, please see

Mike Russell – Advisory Board Member
Mike Russell, the president and founder of ETS Solutions, is a technology entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Mike formed Elite Telecom Services in 2002, rebranding his company to ETS Solutions in 2014 to include Cloud Services. Mike and his team consult with businesses about their technology configuration in the areas of voice, data, and cloud services. Mike has had much success and has been recognized for many accomplishments over the years, including the Channel Partners 360° Award in 2016 and 2013. Mike has a B.S. Degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MBA in Accounting & Finance degree from Kennesaw State University.  Mike serves on a number of boards including the Metro Atlanta Chamber Board of Advisors, the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association, the KSU Coles College of Business Advisory Board, and he chairs the KSU Entrepreneurship Center Advisory Board. Mike is also enrolled in the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2017.

Malory Atkinson – Social Media Coordinator
Malory Atkinson is currently responsible for business development and marketing for international digital product development company, Azul Arc ( She joined the company to fast track the growth and development of their technology services business. Malory’s background is working with technology startups and engineering services companies, translating complicated services to clients and consumers. She holds a bachelor degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University. Malory is not only passionate about marketing and client relationships, she is also an advocate for sustainability and infrastructure. She also serves on the Camp Twin Lakes Sustainability Task Force, and is a LEED Green Associate. Malory is an Atlanta native and is passionate about helping our amazing communities and local families to live well and thrive in our great city.
